genexis.dev · Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy. Transparent by design.
This Privacy Policy covers the website at genexis.dev and all software applications, mobile apps, desktop tools, and web portals published by Gene Ray Medel (operating as Genexis). It explicitly applies to standalone utilities, web portals, and field operations applications—including SwitchFiber Tech.
Our guiding principle across every project is absolute respect for user privacy: we do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We collect or process only the minimum information necessary to provide each application's core functionality or operational service.
1. Standalone & Offline Utilities
Applies to: SnipSnap, Batterie, Files Utility, MagicSoftSQL, Offline Bible, Activity Timer, and related standalone utilities.
- 100% On-Device Operation: These tools run entirely on your local computer or mobile device. Screen captures, OCR extractions, battery alerts, database queries, reading notes, bookmarks, timers, routines, and log files stay exclusively in local folders or on-device databases under your control.
- Zero Telemetry & Tracking: No analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, device fingerprinting, or tracking pixels are included in any of these applications.
- No External Transmission: Nothing created or processed within these apps is transmitted to Gene Ray Medel or any third party. The only outbound network requests occur if you deliberately initiate an action requiring it—such as downloading an optional translation pack in Offline Bible, or when your local browser queries the public GitHub API to verify the newest installer version.
- No Account Required: These utilities function without requiring account creation, registration, or login credentials.
2. Field Operations & Mobile Applications (SwitchFiber Tech)
Applies to: SwitchFiber Tech (native iOS and Android mobile applications for field technicians and network engineers) and operational field tools.
SwitchFiber Tech is an operational tool designed for field technicians to view assigned service orders, navigate to network infrastructure, record installation milestones, scan hardware, and complete job reports.
Permissions & Information Handled
- Camera & Barcode / QR Scanning: The camera is used strictly in the foreground to scan hardware serial numbers and barcodes (such as ONT/ONU modems, Wi-Fi routers, optical splitters, and drop cable spools) for provisioning. It is also used to photograph installation milestones (such as NAP box optical power readings, ONT indicator status, drop cable routing, speed test verification, and premises facade) for proof of service delivery.
- Photo Library Access: Accessed only when you intentionally choose to select and attach existing photos or documentation from your device's photo gallery to a job order or completion report.
- Geographic Location (Precise & Approximate GPS): Used while the app is active in the foreground to calculate distance to assigned job orders, prioritize the dispatch queue by nearest ticket, assist navigation to Network Access Points (NAPs) and subscriber premises, and stamp completion photos with verified coordinates for installation verification. Location data is never tracked when the app is in the background or closed.
- Digital Signatures: Captures customer and technician signatures via the in-app signature pad to formally certify completion and mutual acceptance of service work orders.
- Technician Credentials & Authentication: Technician login credentials and secure session tokens are saved using platform-native encrypted storage (iOS Keychain and Android EncryptedSharedPreferences) to authenticate requests against the SwitchFiber operations backend.
- Job Orders & Service Details: Displays subscriber contact information, installation address, service tier, and assigned fiber port strictly to enable the technician to carry out assigned field work.
- Diagnostics & Fiber Line Measurements: Reads optical power levels (-dBm), signal quality, ping/latency diagnostic metrics, and synchronization logs to assist fiber line verification and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Offline Storage & Local Synchronization: Dispatched job orders, map tiles, and pending completion reports are stored in a sandboxed, on-device database (Drift SQLite) so technicians can work reliably in areas with poor or zero cellular reception. Queued updates automatically synchronize with the SwitchFiber operations backend once internet connectivity is restored.
Data Use, Sharing & Security
- Operational Use Only: Data collected through SwitchFiber Tech is processed exclusively to dispatch field tasks, verify installation quality, provision subscriber internet service, and maintain operational ISP records.
- No Sale of Data or Third-Party Advertising: We never sell, rent, monetize, or lease personal or operational data to third parties, commercial advertisers, or data brokers. No third-party marketing SDKs or ad networks are bundled.
- Encrypted Transmission: All data transmitted between SwitchFiber Tech and backend servers is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS (TLS 1.2 / TLS 1.3).
3. Web Applications & Online Portals
Applies to: genexis.dev, the SwitchFiber Admin Console, and the SwitchFiber Customer / User Portal.
- No Advertising or Tracking Cookies: No advertising networks, marketing pixels, or third-party tracking cookies are used on these sites.
- Self-Hosted Assets: Fonts, styles, and imagery are served directly from genexis.dev or the application host. Nothing is loaded from third-party advertising or script injection networks.
- Server Logs: Hosted on Vercel's global edge network, which retains standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, request timestamp) for security, debugging, and operational uptime under Vercel's privacy policy. These logs are not accessed, exported, or sold by Gene Ray Medel.
- GitHub API Integration: To display the newest installer releases, genexis.dev queries the public GitHub API (GitHub's privacy statement). Responses are cached in your browser's session storage for thirty minutes and discarded when the tab closes.
- Direct Inquiries: If you send an email inquiry, your message and email address are retained solely to communicate with you and are never added to marketing lists.
4. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
- Standalone Utilities: All data resides on your device. Uninstalling the application or deleting its local data directory completely and permanently removes all files.
- SwitchFiber Tech & Operational Systems: Operational records, job orders, and diagnostic logs are retained only as required to fulfill ISP service commitments, contractual obligations, and audit standards.
- Your Rights: You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data processed by our services. If you have questions regarding your information or wish to request data removal, please contact bluegene37@outlook.com or your organization's SwitchFiber administrator.
5. Children's Privacy
None of our websites, desktop software, or mobile applications are directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect new features, software releases, or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
